It's a debate, not quite as old as Beatles vs. Stones, but equally as compelling!
On this week's episode we pit efforts by the two founding members of one of the the most influential bands of the 90’s: Uncle Tupelo against each other. Both Son Volt's Trace and Wilco's Yankee Hotel Foxtrot are considered the the best of their post Uncle Tupelo LPs. Trace was the debut by Son Volt and expands on the musical landscape that Uncle Tupeolo had tread to create an album of beautiful depth and poetry. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot finds Wilco setting a new course by deconstructing traditional song structure to build up something sophisticated and provocative.
