A collaboration of one. A struggling musician and MIT grad working at Polaroid builds a studio in his spare time, then invites his singing buddy over to lay down some vocals and a couple drummers to come in and lay down some drum grooves. What you get is one of the best albums in rock and one with arguably the strangest beginning.
On this episode we look at Boston's self-titled debut, and arguably their best album and discuss why something that is the epitome of DIY is so wrongly demonized by rock critics and why an album full of songs you already know is worth paying closer attention to.
