Emmylou Harris' unmistakable voice talked many people’s songs over the course of her storied career. Her voice has also graced many other artists' albums, both rock and country. But on Wrecking Ball, her 18th studio album, she takes a musical turn few would have imagined. Harris’s choice of songs by both established songwriters (Lucinda Williams, Bob Dylan, Neil Young) and relative new comers (at least at the time - Gillian Welch) also show she knows a good song when she hears one.

Essentially a collaboration with producer and multi-instrumentalist Daniel Lanois (U2, Peter Gabriel, Neil Young, Bob Dylan), Wrecking Ball is an album full of untraditional soundscapes & textures, that provides her with a backdrop really showcase her vocals and her unparalleled ability to make any song her own.
